Message	broke around the U joint, but it still drove with the front wheels while in 4x4, parts were difficult to source. It was ok on gas, but I abused the hell out of it, went 4x4'g almost daily, had a blast with that little truck. Similar vehicle, I know that typically they are not well looked after, and therefore a lot of them burn oil, and have problems, but if you find a clean one I'm sure it'll be a good DD for a couple years anyway.
